3M has over 55 years of automotive window tint innovation and technology, 3M is a trusted brand by most skilled installers and recognized as a leader in the automotive industry for providing high-quality, reliable, and long-lasting auto window film solutions.
3M™ Automotive Window Film provides excellent heat rejection, blocks UV, reduce glare and increase privacy for a more comfortable driving experience.
3M™ Automotive Window Films work by using a special type of film applied directly to the interior surface of a car's windows. The film is made up of multi-layer film technology that works together to provide various benefits such as blocking UV, rejecting heat and increasing privacy.
It is designed to reduce the amount of solar heat transmission through window glass by increasing the solar reflection (not necessarily visible reflection) and solar absorption through the glass.
The main types of 3M™ car tint available in the Philippines include Crystalline™, Ceramic IR, Ceramic IM and Ceramic XP Series.
Each type of car tint is designed to offer a different balance of heat rejection, UV protection, glare reduction, privacy and price, so the best option depends on your driving needs, preferred appearance and budget.
3M Crystalline vs 3M Ceramic IM
The main difference between 3M Crystalline and 3M Ceramic IM is their technology, performance positioning, and price point. Crystalline is the more premium option, using multilayer optical film with over 200 layers for strong heat rejection and a lighter appearance. Ceramic IM uses advanced nano-ceramic technology and offers strong performance, privacy, and glare reduction at a lower price point than Crystalline.
3M Ceramic XP vs 3M Crystalline
The main difference between 3M Ceramic XP and 3M Crystalline is that Crystalline is the more premium film, while Ceramic XP is a more affordable ceramic option. Crystalline is designed for drivers who want top-tier heat rejection, high UV protection, and a lighter look. Ceramic XP offers solid heat and glare reduction, privacy, and UV protection at a lower cost.
Car tint film is installed by thoroughly cleaning the windows, measuring and cutting the film, applying it carefully to the glass, and smoothing it out to reduce bubbles or creases. Because proper installation requires precision, the right tools, and experience, it is usually best to have car window tint installed by a professional installer for the best fit and finish.
Car tint installation usually takes a few hours, depending on the type of vehicle, the number of windows being tinted, and the film being installed. Larger vehicles or more complex installations may take longer.
For the best fit and finish, it’s recommended to have your car tinted by a professional installer, who can also advise you on proper curing and aftercare. Locate a car tint installer near you.
3M™ Ceramic IR Series is a nano-ceramic car tint designed to reduce heat, block UV rays, and improve comfort while driving in the Philippines. Using advanced absorptive nano-ceramic car tint technology, it can reject up to 63% of total solar energy and up to 95% of infrared heat-producing rays, while remaining compatible with mobile signals, GPS, and 5G devices.
3M Window Films block 99% or more of UVA and UVB radiation. Some of our films have received the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Seal of Recommendation.

The warranty is VOID if the product has been subjected to abuse or improper care. Car tint is usually removed by softening the film, carefully peeling it off the window, and cleaning away any remaining adhesive. Older tint can be more difficult to remove because the film may tear more easily and the glue may be harder to clean off.
To help avoid damage to the glass, window components, or defroster lines, car tint removal is best handled by a professional installer. Find the nearest car installer.
